My name is Patricia Cole, and I have been painting portraits since the 1980's. I reside in Inverness Florida with my husband. I have always been happy doing things that are creative, and was a beautician with my own beauty salon in Venice FL for many years. One day I saw an ad in the newspaper to take a class in pastel portraits, and I jumped at the chance to learn. Little did I know that I would absolutely fall in love with this wonderful, gratifying form of art. It is such a rewarding feeling when I see life coming into the flat drawing on canvas. I have taken many art work shops and series of classes throughout the years. I always strive to bring out the personality of the person, or the pet. That is why a very clear photo is needed to accomplish this.
